Need help | ADHD Information

yeah, being taken off speed makes you feel pretty horrible.My son started out on Adderal XR and was taken off after 2 or 3 weeks. He knew i was upset that he had a bad day at school so he started sawing a knife across the side of the kitchen drawer and when i took the knife away and confrionted him as to why he was doing this he said, he just wanted to die.  Thats when he started seeing a psychiatrist. He was put on Focalin and has been on it since Jan. He got really emotional so she put him on zoloft and later clonidine because he wouldnt go to sleep at night.  I never wanted to put him on stimulants but thought maybe it was worth a shot. Now he gets VERY emotional when he doesnt get what he wants and get angry to.  He argues with me when i ask him to do anything, he never used to be that way.  He still says he wishes he was dead but says he doesnt really want to die.  Im confused here, what do i need to do to get the help he needs. I think he has some other issues that havent been revealed, he was tested for aspergers but that dr made his decision after seeing him one time and never told me if he had it or not.  Diagnosis, adhd without ruling out the possibility of bi polar.  Could he be bipolar instead of adhd.  I need answers and dont seem to be getting anywhere his doc is too quick to write a script instead of helping me get down to what really going on here.  Any answers will help i just dont know what to do anymore.  I didnt like his 1st psychiatrist didnt feel he listened to me, his current one listens but asks me what do i feel needs to be done without giving her own opinion as a dr. Im desperate here
