wellbutrin? | ADHD Information

Does anyone here take wellbutrin for ADHD? I don't know if I should take stimulants because I have a phobia, so I have anxiety that could be worsened by a stimulant. Is wellbutrin as effective as the stimulants, even though it's off label? (btw, if anyone knows what the success rate is for wellbutrin for ADHD, that would be great..i know it's about 70% for stimulants, so I'd like to see if wellbutrin is just as good)I was on it for 2 months. And noticed no change.In my reading of the research, at best smaller studies show that it helps about 50% of the time (in adult ADHD).

Part of the issue is dose - if the dose isn't high enough, it may not work, but when the dose gets too high - there are concerns about seizures.

It is certainly an option for ADHD, but really only as 2nd or 3rd line treatment - i.e. after trying the stimulants and strattera for sure.
My 9 year old daughter and I both take it, along with Adderall XR.  It is supposed to help with focusing, and I think that it does help somewhat.  I do not know, however, how effective that it would be for ADHD symptoms if taken by itself.

i have been on wellbutrin for four monthes and it helped me.
my mind feels clearer and more focused. if you feel nervous
you might try lowering the dose. i am on 150 mg and am 125
lbs. i might go up. this is the median dose with 300 being
highest.

I just found this thread in a search of all my posts and I was just wondering if anyone has some info/advice on wellbutrin, my new doc is considering prescribing it along with concerta (right now I'm taking 150 mg. effexor and just started concerta)
