Hi,
last weekend I met a woman at my church, who started talking to me out of nowhere about her 22 year old son, and his problems he has had with drugs, and accidents, and leaving the church and so on. And just as I am going in my head "yeah this guy has ADD..." she spurts out: "...and you know, I don't usually talk to anybody about this, but I think he has ADD..."
Well today I met Marcus, he's somehow gone through the whole range of ADD specific problems since his childhood, but now his problem is that he once took LSD about a year ago (besides smoking up and consuming other drugs) and somehow got his brain fried in a way that all his symptoms that he could somehow deal with in the past have now taken him to a level where he has to take psychotropic and anti depression drugs now and pretty much just vegetates his life without knowing how to break out.
Of course he's doubting ADD a little bit and thinks that his brain just got fried and that he was near a psychosis, with weird thoughts running through his head, sociophobia and so on, whereas I am thinking maybe he caused some damage to his neurons that amplify the ADD symptoms...
Is there any help? He lives in Austria (not Antarctica) and good psychodocs are hard to find over here.
Michael
