Is this just me? Everyone I know can tell even if I skip just one dose of meds.
Yep, whenever i am not on the meds it stands out like a sore thumb! They notice me having trouble understanding things, and i become very unsettled.
They can also see the 'rebound' on occasions depending on whats happening at the time.
candy,
How are you different on meds? Does your speech slow to normal? Do you figit less? My daughter doesn't constantly flit from one activity to another, does not irritate others on purpose ("because it is fun") and can have a normal conversation when medicated. People that do not know her well would not know the difference.

I should think they'd be quite fortunate to be like their pop!
So...I take it Electricians & Contractors-Slash-Constructors are diametrically opposed?

Copy that. Whenever someone will ask me if I can tell if my Adderall makes a difference, everyone around me answers an emphatic "YES!" in unison before I can even open my mouth to respond.
Oh yeah!!
The only people who really know about me being on meds is my co-workers and they always notice if I forgot to take my meds (or if I am just incredibly tired.) When I am on my meds I am typically on the ball and never have too many problems though out the day. But off my meds my mind just doesn't jump off the tracks, it totally de-rails, rolls over a few times and then catches on fire. Of course if I forget to take my meds I realize it about half way to work and am paranoid about it for the rest of the day. My co-workers have not failed to miss a day yet when I am off my meds. What I find interesting though is how the general public acts when I am on vs. off my meds. The other day, while on my meds, I was walking around in downtown Seattle and people actually act different around me. I noticed that I am a lot more fun, spontaneous and friendly. I actually almost hooked up with a very cute girl who worked at the zoo! But when I compare that to the days off my meds people act totally different around me. like last weekend for example I was really busy and had some weddings to go to. without my meds I was really shy, quiet, and was constantly wondering what people think of me..which is the characteristics of the old me.

Yeah, im like that too. at first i thought it was just people. but i edventually
Yup my wife notices and just the other night my sister said to her after talking to her on the phone one evening, Did he take his med? The answer to that for the afternoon dose was NOIt's so easy to tell if I've neglected my daily dexedrine. I get it pointed out that I go from helpful, insightful and a stickler for detail and safety to grumpy, introverted and neglectful to my job and my fellow workers well-being and happiness. When away from work and taking my med holiday I get droopy and hide at home. I end up not talking to my gf as often and tend to forget to do things like keep myself neat and tidy.
When the meds are on the only time they notice me is if the meds kick in when at work. Then they see the short term surge in energy when I get extremely friendly and talkative. Even to strangers. Funny thing is that until the initial surge is over I don't notice it. Then I see the looks I get. And laugh.
lol. me 2yeah, um you can tell if I didnt take my meds. there's nothing on, that's what I look like. And the second day I'm irritated because I can't do anything right. I do the same thing without my med's. Instead of joking around with the guys at work I really take offense to what they say and turn into a real ass. Kinda funny when I look back at it but I came very close to getting in a fight the other day and it would have never escalated if I had taken my meds...and tempers do get out of control pretty quickly on a construction site anywayz. You can always use your hardhat as a cup
for protection.

. Not to mention my feelings get hurt
at least every other second & I become incredibly defensive. terrie38966.8993287037Every one that know I am on medication knows when it wears off those who do not know I take medication think I just get moody.
