here in britain,the educationnal psychologist works for the coucil and assess your child at school and work with teacher and decide the best way to help your child cope and integrate.they work alongside the child psychologist,the paedatrician ,yourself and the teachers.they are the one who decides if your child needs an IEPhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Educational_psychology     Absolutely anything you have ever wanted to know about educational psychology .st?   And what are they doing?I have heard of a Psychologist specializing in educational testing. Perhaps the reference to and Educational Psychologist is a school psychologist with a MA, not a PhD.This is a psychologist (PhD) that specializes in learning disorders. It is the first type of psychologist we went to. We were getting ready to move the girls from montessorri school to public school and needed to know where they fit. My oldest works above grade level and the youngest below. This was where they had IQ and other tests and we found out that the youngest had learning disorders (it confirmed my suspisions, which the montessorri staff ignored).
