In the last month my 6 year old son has been on Adderall XR extended release (10mg) for 5 days. He couldn't sleep, eat much and was very,very emotional. On the last day he was in a terrible rage and his mood would change from angry to depressed in minutes. I called the doctor and he told me to take him off. About a week later we tryed Dexedrine (10mg) That was really terrible. He was high as a kite and really strange. He told me he saw things in the night, black things with red eyes. He didn't sleep or eat and his eyes were wide open. I took him off once again because it was not my son with this medication in him. His ADHD was 10 times worse. Jasper is very tall for a 6 year old but very slim(55 pounds) My question is: Was the dose to high for his weight? I am very scared to try anything again and school starts tomorrow. I really need some GOOD advice and guidence. Thanks everyone!!!!
