Actually, satisfaction, you are slightly mistaken. If heqmom was taking a TOTAL of 50mg in the DAY, then she would probably take somewhere around 50mg of the Adderall XR for a rough equivalent.

Adderall XR is a capsule that contains half of the stated dose in IR beads and the other half of the stated dose in XR beads which will release about 4 hours later.

Satisfaction, if you were taking 30mg all in one dose, that would explain why you now take 60mg XR. (30mg of that will be released immediately, and 30mg about 4 hours later).believe it or not, you have to take 100 mg of adderall xr to equal 50 mg of adderall ir... i was on 30 of ir and took 60 of xr.. xr worked better i thik because it was brand name.... 20 is a low dose of xr especially for you since you were on 50 of ir.. 30 of xr was not enough for me and i was on 30 of ir.. so i switched to 60 and it worked the same as 30 of brand name ir... So I am switching from IR to XR to see if it helps with the rebound effects.  I was on 25mg 2 times a day.  I would take one dose at about 8 and then the other about 12.  So that makes a total of 50mg a day.  Well my doctor prescribed me 20mg of the XR once a day.  Which he said should work because the mg should be about equal.  But in reading the prescriping info from Aderall it seems that when switch doses the daily totals should match not the individal dosing.  So I am a little confused.  Am I making anysense. I feel like I have not taken my meds at all and I do not know if It is beacuse of the switch in release or the dosing issues?
