Strattera and appetite | ADHD Information

My son (6yrs) had been on strattera (10mg) for about  five weeks. The neurologist told us that this wasn't the ideal dose because he was just trying the med in my son to see if he would tolerate it. I would say that my son did fine in tolerating it, the appetite issue wans't that bad, taking into account that he has never been an eager eater. Just last week we had our next visit to the doctor; for obvious reasons my son's impulsiveness and capacity to concentrate are still not good so his dose was adjusted. Now, instead of taking 10mg at night, he's taking 18mg in the morning and I am really concerned because his appetite is the worst of all. Yesterday he didn't have breakfast, I thought that he would probably be hungry for lunch , but the little he ate was because I angrily insisted, he just cried and said he wasn't hungry at all( of course I tried to offer what he best enjoys).  Now, I really want to insist on the med, then  I ask if there are other ways that I can use in order to stimulate his appetite. I am really looking for some of you who have had this experience and tell me what additional thing can help him eat.

Thanks for your time!
