Famous people with ADHD | ADHD Information

Just a thought.  I have seen some of the same people labeled as bipolar.

I wanna know how they know they are or were ADHD??

Not so sure I buy all of the names on the list.

I have also seen a list for famous aspergers

joemom38973.2261689815I have said in the past that ADD/ADHD people are certainly not boring and that I'm glad I don't have a "Stepford Child."  I try to celebrate the positive differences about my son and I work to develop them.  Ds can't draw but he won an award in 5th grade art class for being creative.  He's funny so I've been trying to develop his sense of timing.  He's a terrific writer so I'm trying to teach him the mechanics of writing pointing out his use of things like alliteration and imagery and also cleaning up his grammar, puntuatation and redundancy.  I bet your ds has talents and abilities that others don't have and there are ways to bring those out.

If he feels like he can't accomplish anything then try to think up stratagies to help him succeed.  Does he have to juggle a lot of different books and binders?  Switch him to a big trapper/keeper binder with hole-punched folders for different subjects.  Does he always lose worksheets before he can get them home?  Put a hole puncher in his binder.  We've got one that only does one sheet at a time but is about the size of a large ruler (about 2x12x1/2") with holes to go into his binder.  Now he hole punches worksheets and puts them in the binder and they make it home.  Does he have a hard time with bringing the right books to class?  Put frequent locker visits or the right to carry his bookbag to every class in his IEP.   If he never brings his books home, then get a set of books and keep them at home, you can get that through an IEP as well.

I tell my ds all the time to "use your tools."

Hi all!  I am wondering in anyone knows a good list of famous people with adhd or add.  My son who is eleven is really down on himself about how hard school and orginization and all that comes to him and he thinks he can't accomplish anything with having adhd.  I just want to show him that it is entirely possible to be something incredible even having adhd.  (of course, he is something incredible to me right now, but I want him to feel it) Thanks.

http://www.adhdrelief.com/famous.htmlI know I have seen a list before. Maybe you could google a list. I know Einstein was suppose to be AD/HD.

Thanks notelling! We must have posted at the same time.

Thanks!!! One I know of for sure, and he inspires my son. Ty Pennington from Extreme Home Make Over. My son loves this show and thinks Ty is the best! All that energy, running all over the place, loud outbursts... is this sounding familiar people? He uses that energy for fun and motivation. He also uses meds, ADDERALL XR, to help keep him focused.
