I try, but I cant always do it | ADHD Information

I am only 16, my boyfriend is 18 and he has really bad ADHD. He is a sweet person and he is great to be with but sometimes it just gets to be too much. He hangs drywall 40hrs a week and he is really mellow when he gets home from work. When he isnt at work he is all over the place, pacing back and forth, can not hold a single conversation or listen to me. He is better when he has coffee (i know its weird) but i still loose my patience. I work in a 1st grade as part of my highschool class so i am not always in the best oif moods. I feel horrible because i feel like it is not his fault. Is it me or him? How can i help the two of us? He has been on meds before and hated them. Please i am open to evrything!!

Cripes Helpme - you are only 16 - why are you not at home with your parents?

I left home at 16 and wish I hadn't - I got the "If you leave dont you come back" thing from my mum, but I wish I had forced my way back in - and I do believe she probably would have let me too.

At your age you should not have to be focussing on a boyfriends problems, you should be able to just focus on establishing your education and future.

He is very young also, and most likely this is not going to be the only relationship for the both of you (unless you are crazy like me and get married at 19- which of course divorced at 25), so set your boundaries and if he steps over them too often - go home to mum.
