What a great post!

My daughter is very good at creating new "inventions" with whatever is lying around the house.  She loves dragons and is very good at drawing dragons and other things.  She likes sticking up for the underdog.  She is so vibrant and full of energy when we go to the playground she is like the pied piper and all the younger kids just follow her around.  She knows the words to almost every Jimmy Buffet song and sings them all the time.  She really is a joy to be around and we love her to death (even though she does drive us all crazy!)
Is talking a talent  ?
If it is, then my dd is the talentist girl. Hope she ll be an actor, couse for layer she ll need to learn a lot (not her favorite action).

Beside talking, she is good imitator, loves languages (foreign -English and our -Bosnian) and loves to learn about Prehistorical animals!

Patrick is so good w/ younger kids, creative and such a good writer!  I have told him that  he'd be a good kindergarten teacher ("they don't make any money, mom!) or a good stand up comedian.  I'd like him to be successful like robin williams so I could live in the manner to which I'd like to become accustomed to. Kudos! I love this thread. Lego's, yeah, we had every type all over the house when my son was little. He also loves to take things apart and make new things with them. My favorite? He took apart an old computer and made a mechanical toy mouse for our kitties to play with out of the fan. He has made many "inventions" like this. He sounds like "2girls" to me. He also loves to take up for the "underdog". One of his best friends in school was a wheelchair bound boy. He used to be the one to wheel him out on the field for band competitions.

He has so many talents. He is an excellent dancer, great musician (has an ear and plays drums and euphonium), and can act. If the consensus is that talking is a talent he can be counted in on that one too. His current goal is to become a forensic scientist, he will be taking forensic science in school next semester. (A junior in High School). He is extremely gifted in many areas as I know all our kids are. It seems to be a trait of ADHD kids.

Everybody write, I love all the stories. We have the best kids on earth!

I Love all those stories.

It seams like a lot of the boys have Legos in common. If you ask me, I thing legos are best toy ever invented, I still like building with legos.

And  I definetly agree, that talking is a talent. Rebecca talks every waking minute . Drives me absolutly crazy some days.

What is it with ADHD kids and talking? ADHD grownups too???? My son is a chatter box to no end and so am I. Even when he was a baby he babbled so much. I guess it's our brains going 100 mph, I don't know. They are just so cute with all the things they come up with.....

Dillon has been riding his pony with me lately. I wanted to ride this afternoon and thought he would to (I really wanted to go alone though) so I asked him if he wanted to go with me and it's like he read my mind, he said no mommy, you go, you need some private time, I'll go another day. It was so cute! He sits back and listens and retains all the things us grown ups say. I think one day while me, a friend and him where riding, he heard me talking about sometimes I like to ride my horse alone and go fast and how much fun I have. You can't get anything by him, he hears EVERYTHING.

This is a great topic and it brought tears to my eyes reading about all the amazing, talented, creative, wonderful children we all have. They all have SOOOOOO MUCH in common! I will come back and read this topic when I feel down on Dillon......just hearing all the great things these kids can do is a pick-me-uper. They really are special children and we should be so proud of them.....think about all this when the teachers are telling you this and that, think about this when your child gets a frown face at school, etc. All these children are going to be something wonderful one day. Their minds are great.

I forgot to mention Dillon loves science too.....he loves that show Most Extreme and learns so much! I can tell you all about different bugs and animals. He loves sharks and alligators, he loves all those animal shows and shark shows on discovery. He will pick that over anything. Of course he loves dinasours......when he was 3 he could name about 50 of them. He is into so many things, of course I could go on and on. What bright, imaginative kids we have!

And today I was so proud of him....we went horse back riding and his pony kept trying to turn back home, he got frustrated with her, but kept at it, it was hot and he just kept going without complaint, I gave him a switch after a while and it was better. Most kids would have whined and complained and wanted to get off.....he was DETERMINED to get her going, it was so cool!

You could have a future politician, lawyer, salesman, teacher....Yeah, talking is a talent

My son is 8, he loves the outdoors doing gardening things with his grandpa. He also likes Lego's. He doesn't have one (yet) but he loves quads, dirt bikes, go- carts. He likes to bike ride most of all. :0)

I like learning from all the "problem" post about our kids, we learn alot there. How about a change of pace for a change. I know of a few "normal" kids and many kids with problems, like the ADHD. Seems to me like the ADHD kids have a lot in common when it comes to talent, creativity, enthusiasm with things they like, lots of energy to go all day when we are doing something fun, etc. "Normal" kids seem so boring to me. they sit around, watch TV, play the computer games, they may be great and smart in school, but they are not fun. And most of the time, whiney. Maybe I'm wrong, it's just what I see.

Lets share out childrens intrests, the best things about them.

Dillon is 7. He's a BIG boy, looks 10. Taking after his fathers side. A normal day for Dillon would be going to school, come home, swim in the pool, (he swims like a fish since he was 4) go for a horse back ride, then take the 4 wheeler for a spin around the yard. He has his own pony and loves to ride around the neighborhood, he thinks it cool to control this 850 lb horse! He creates the neatest things with clay, lego's, magnets, lincon logs, drawings. He loves bugs and creates neat things outside. He loves to go fishing with daddy all day long, he goes hunting with daddy, we go camping. He'll stay at the water park, beach, springs all day in the water and never take a break. He helps me in the house. Today he helped me carry boards, hold them while I nailed them up, and he sawed off the ends all by himself, he loves farm work! He's a real fun kid with so much energy, he'll make you tired watching him. I just thought it would be fun to share the good things about our kids.

My girls are 16 they love to swim and they compete on two competative teams. They just began their first job so between school,  practice and work that fills their day. My son 8 love the outdoors, fishing and bugs. He love to learn about anything. All three are really good kids

RamblinDad forgot to mention that DS loves Math and Science, is really smart, loves scouting, camping (has a fixation with bears outside the tent, though!) and fishing, loves animals, and loves to spend time with good ol' Mom and Dad!  He also likes movies, his Leapster L-Max, and rollerskating!

Most importantly, he's a really good kid!

My son is seven, he loves building things with legos. He makes ships, planes, and space ships. Then he tells me stories of the grand adventures with his ship or what ever he built. He also loves the outdoors, especially treasure hunting (geocaching). He loves catching lizzards and frogs to "study" which he always lets go again. He love soccer and basket ball too.

Daniel loves the outdoors also. He loves camping/art/music/scouts/dancemaker/horseriding/swimming/car toys.

Will do indoor stuff also. Never liked play before Eci glad he had that.

This is a great idea, to write about something positive for a change.

Rebecca is 9, she's very crafty. Give her a cardboard box, fabric scraps, glue and some other stuff, and she'll make you a dollhouse. At the moment I'm teaching her to sew clothes for her barbies and other dolls. I like to cross-stich, sew and I'm learning to quilt now.

Jacob is almost 7. Ever since he was little he can built the most amazing and detailed cars, trucks etc from Lego's, he draws pretty good, at least I think so, and knows a lot about dinosaurs. He also loves to make and play in the mud, go figure .

They both enjoy fishing with dad and could spent all day in the pool.

My daughter is 9, and she loves being outside, and particularly likes to spend time with our dogs.  She loves arts and crafts, and is particularly talented in pottery.  She has taken two classes, and I have several of the items that she made there.  They are beautiful!

My son also loves the Legos.  He will sit for hours constructing things.  Before he got the legos he would get a scewdriver and take apart his other toys and put them back together.  He is very smart also, he hears something and retains it . (except when I'm talking to him and telling him to stop doing something! LOL)

It's interesting that they all seem to have a love of the Legos.

Also, I agree with Dillions Mom, I find NORMAL kids boring too.  They just don't seem to have the personality that my little guy does.  My daughter is not as personable as he is.  He has another friend that has ADHD also and he is just a little pistol.

As much as he annoys me a lot of times, you gotta love the little boogers!

southernbelle38974.2618287037My DS is 7 and a nice kiddo, he never says anything mean to hurt anyone and most people really love him. He is also AMAZING at building with legos he can take the advanced kits and come down with a completed model about an hour later.  He loves science and has a new found love of examining bugs ( yuck)...he has a little sister who adores him and he is excellent with her.  He will even switch the TV show so his little sister (2yrs) can watch her favorite.  He is an excellent reader and is a big fan of Captain Underpants and the Disney Adventures.  He is also a pretty good ice skater. I am pretty lucky to have such a nice boy. joemom38974.3074421296

It would be fun to get our 7 year old boys together...they all seem to love the same thing including Legos  and Bugs!

Can you imagine all that energy together

My 8 y-o son makes me laugh every day. He has a sharp sense of humor and remembers every joke ever told to him or any funny line from every movie he's seen. He is very empathetic, especially for animals and characters on tv. He loves any kind of building toy, especially Legos, Xevos, and K'Nex. He has a keen sense of fair play and justice. He is bursting with personality, which can sometimes be a little off-putting for other kids, but I love it! He is freakishly good at stategy games, both video and board games. As you can tell, I'm very proud of him!!  He's a ten gallon personality in a five gallon hat!!My daughter is 12. She loves to read & in the last year or so has discovered the joy of writing stories. I'm amazed at the stories she writes. They are funny & very entertaining. I think she could actually have a writing career if she wanted. She loves animals & would have all the dogs from the shelter if she was allowed! LOL! She loves camping & will sit for hours fishing (which totally amazes me, btw...I think fishing is pretty boring myself). When she was younger she enjoyed crafts & could create something awesome from just scraps from around the house. She also loved legos...What is it with ADDers & legos?

My son is 7 1/2 going to be 8 in October, loves to create things with legos, plays pirates, goes outside and pretends he is a pirate on a ship.  He has a wonderful imagination and can tell a story that seems so real that some people believe him!  I would have to say he is one of the most creative kids I know and is so people loving that he will play anything with another kid just to play with them.

He loves to be outside the most and in the summer will spend from the time he is up until bedtime outside playing in the sand with his pirates or knights, biking, or swimming!

These ADHD kids are very brillant and have such great minds...I wish more people would see that side of them.

Hi!  Love the topic!  DD's biggest talent right now (I call it her "superpower") is speed.  She runs really fast.  That's one of the reasons I have her in soccer.  Soccer isn't her "thing", but it keeps her running.  Hopefully when she gets older she might like track (more of an individual sport).  She also enjoys nature.  We had a project this summer where we caught 13 chipmunks and relocated them.  She also likes nature hikes and fishing, as long as the fish are biting.  Speaking of fish, we have a couple of goldfish in a big tub on our deck, and she always remembers to take care of them, clean their filter, feed them.  I find that quite amazing!

How fun- who doesn't like to brag about their kids!  Erik is 8 and has a passion for nature and animals.  His favorite are frogs.  He is a bit obsessive about them.  He knows everything about frogs there is to know.

Likes animal planet and knows quite a bit about all animals.

His sense of humor is great-he makes up jokes (and they're good) he is always making us and his classmates (mostly the girls) laugh.

He is very strong, agile and runs fast.  Loves to draw and........... best of all gives the BIGGEST BESTEST HUGS EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I always tell him he is very special and can do anything he wants when he grows up.  He says he wants to be a business owner and for a hobby he will be a garbage truck driver....he has wanted to be a trash man since he was 1 1/2

Gotta love it!
