Both my kids (11 and 13) have been on the patch for a week. Wow, what a difference. Both are doing very well. My daughter hates pills and no matter what we tried, every medicine hurt her stomach. She is happy that the patch is working and no more pills. No more stomach aches either. Better sleeping and better eating for both.
My son (13) is doing well too. He was on Adderall XR. His only complaint is that it does not "wake" him up like the Adderall. Which he liked because he gets up at 5:30 for school. He says that he does not feel it working like the Adderall did. However, he says that he is focusing at school and his behavior at home shows that it works. Also NO REBOUNDS! Got to like that!
Anyone else switch from Adderall to the patch? Any comments from your kids?
Mine went from Ritalin LA to the patch. He says there are no "low spots" in his day. He got a 93 on a pre-algebra test! Last year he failed the last quarter of pre-alg., passed the semester with a D. He says the 93 is the lowest grade he's gotten this school year. I don't want to sound like a shill for the drug companies, but I love the results we're getting!
