Food and ADHD | ADHD Information

Hi I am new here and my son is ADHD.

I was told that homoginized milk is better then 2% milk for kids with ADHD.  Is there other foods you know that are not good for for ADHD children.  I have heard red dyes and yellow dyes aren't good either .  Can you explain this to me.

Thank you

Sorry I  posted this in the wrong spot.I learned never never never to give my son anything with yellow dye. He melts down and becomes weepy and out of control. It's horrible!!! Thats the only thing I've had problems with. However, I've suspected products with white flour like bread, spagetti, etc have an effect on him because his ears turn bright red and hot after eating, but his behavior doesnt change. Weirdyes, I would say that adhd and food has little to do with each other.

 hot ears? corn? popcorn.

I would say your child has a food allergy, not adhd.
good grief I wish it was a food allergy, but since he still exhibits ADHD systems when he's off medication and not given yellow food dye, I would have to say it's still ADHD. If life where that simple.well adhd does not travel alone, he may have another issue as well.

Adhd with a food allergy, adhd with co morbid, etc etc.
