Egad what a heartless biotch! I refuse to answer some unfounded stupidity. If someone has nothing constructive  and helpful to say then they should keep quiet, or leave, or both. I do not ever expect everyone to agree with me or my methods and I agree to disagree, but destructive, belittling comments like the initiator of this thread are unacceptable and they should be removed.

Did you notice that other posters have links to different boards in their signatures?

Did you check out the Alternatives to Medicine section of this message board?

Did you spend any time "speaking" with any of us on this board to determine what kind of research/reading has been done before you made YOUR post?

Are you 100% sure you have all the answers and can make assumptions about other people's kids?

Did you check out the section of this board that encourages parents to advocate for their children at school?

Did you do ANYTHING other than just come on this board and make your obnoxious post?

Ogram, I was thinking the exact same thing...a leopard does  not change its spots.

 

Are you sure it's ADHD?

Are you sure it's not something else?

Are you sure your child needs meds?

Do you know teens abuse stimulants?

Are you sure your child doesn't have co-morbid bipolar, ASD, or some other disorder?

Do you think a pill will answer all questions, cure all ills?

Are you 100% sure that your child acts like he does because of ADHD? My guess is that 95% of you question whether or not everything that your child does is due to ADHD. There can be so many other reasons. Take the time to learn about everything else ti could be, and make sure you get second and third opinions.

Go to other boards and talk to other moms who know more than just ADHD.

Read about stimulant abuse in teenagers.

Do yourself a favor, go to the library, and read, read, read. It could really help your child. Do not sit back and take it when your child is hurting others, himself, your family life, and your professional of choice is blaming only ADHD. Take the bull by the horns and advocate for him or her.
