What does this mean??![]() Hi all,
I have a question about my son, he is 5 yo and has ADHD and ODD and last week we switched his meds and he has a horrible week He woke up this morning crying because his belly hurt and I know that this is a side effect but i was willing to allow his belly to be a little upset if it ment that he had great days at school. Will his behavor get better once his systems get use to the medication? And how did he have a great week with out meds?? Any advice would be helpful He had a meltdown shortly after my post...and know that he readjusted to the new meds he has less meltdowns..I think it was a gift that he controlled himself for that week(3 days) The world with an ADHD child is confusing. I have sympathy. I could console, but I have no advice. Well maybe I do, do what works, and what you feel is right and go from there. What works 1 day might not work the next, but keep trying. If he had a great week without the meds then he doesn't need to be on meds. If it was a great day without meds that's one thing. An entire week is a long time especially for an ADD kid. If he can control himself for that long he's probably better off without medication. |
