Wellbutrin 6 Weeks | ADHD Information

I was diagnosed with ADHD attentive type. I am 42 years old.

I have been taking 300mg of Wellbutrin XL for the last 6 weeks and I still figet, tapping my foot rapidly, and I don't feel any more focused.  If anything, the Wellbutrin makes me sleepy and lethargic. 

I have a doctors appointment in a week.  Should I ask to try something else?  Every here seems to like Adderal.

Any suggestions

I take Wellbutrin, 300mg. Not for ADD, but for depression. (eventhough I have ADD as well.) My Dr. said it should help with ADD too, but it doesn't for me. He has also suggested putting my son on this for ADHD, however, I've never heard of it working for anyone. Just my observation. Are you getting enough protein in your diet?? Ask about Staterra, it's non stimulant and a newer med.

I'm very pleased with methylphenidate (ritalin) for my ADHD.
I used to take Wellbutrin for depression and started back up again
because I get the winter blues.

So, I take both ritalin (all the time) & wellbutrin (in the fall/wintertime)
and seems to be good for me.

If you don't have depression, ya, ask your doctor to try something else.
I do have depression and anxiety as well as adhd.  I am on Paxil 25mg wellbutrin 300mg, but I still feel hyper. Anyone on Adderal?

Do you smoke or drink a lot of caffine? I ask this because, especially smoking, interacts with the Wellbutrin and makes you much more hyper. You may know that some Dr.'s prescribe Wellbutrin to aid in smoking cessation. I was told not to smoke or use the patch while on Wellbutrin. It increases your heart rate.

No I don't smoke or drink coffee.  I actually stopped drinking coffee when I start Welbutrin, I don't know why I did, but I don't crave a cup in the am anymore.

Anyone taking Adderal and has taken Wellbutrin first and it didn't work?
