Need your help | ADHD Information

I need feed back from people that have tried the new patch called Daytrana. Today was my 8 year old first patch. What a fricken day from hell. The doctor to;d me it should take effect right away. Well it didn't. I had to send my child to school totally out of control. After school he seemed to be calm. So i dropped him off at my apartment by boyfriend. I had to go back to work. I told him to call me in an hour to let me know how he was. My boyfriend said he was like a diffrent child then this morning. My question is how long does it take to get into their system? He was totally out of control from 5;15 until 3:30. I can't take for my child to be out of control. I sm sfraid i will have another morning like this morning. Thanks NerakI think there's a Med board; you might get more responses there.

The patch can take up to 2 hours to work. Some people add a short acting methylphenidate first thing in the moring to get by until the patch kicks in. Check out the Daytrana threads like NoTelling suggested:
