-ditto!!
When I was one Strattera I had the same effect. my six sences became more apperent. It was like a totaly new world and now I fit in with it!! for me it all went away after time..but it was great while it lasted
so, is concerta working well for you, i just got diagnosed and im trying to find one that actually worksSo far it is working great for the most part - I have seen great improvement of my hyperness, impulsiveness, scattered brain, short temper, and such.
There was a short adjustment period to it when I started and when I titrated up with the doses. Life is good now. At one time I thought I was expecting too much from the medication and had a discussion with the doc about it, we upped the dose and it worked.
There are still some things I am adjusting to that are interesting - I have become more of a feeling person and part of my brain that I wasn't used to is stimulated in a good way I guess - I was never a feely type of person and now I notice odd things that make me contemplate things - it is a little freaky, but OK. Sorry, it is hard to explain!!!
I guess you just have to try some meds or other treatments and see what works - I was lucky to get in on a study of concerta and lucky to work with a good doc that is helping me and the medication worked. Some folks sound like they have to search for the best med or traeatment!!!

You explain it well enough for me to relate to the exact same reaction in me after starting on Adderall! It's like a whole new corner of my brain is activated, and it's quite nice...
Do you drink enough water during the day? The kick from the Adderall and no (or not enough) water intake could be parching your vocal cords... like dry mouth maybe? This is just a guess.

Yeah good guess, I drink about 8 liters a day and then about 4 8 ounce glasses at night!!! I love water.
I did notice that I am always dry mouthed even though I drink water all the time!!!
Since taking concerta I have noticed a possible wierd side effect?? Every day towards that late afternoon, I get a raspy voice and sometimes lose a word or two when talking. I don't smoke, I don't stress my vocal cords, and I am not a regular heavy drinker. I don't suffer from allergies that I am aware of.
I did not mention it to my doctor yet, cause I wanted to see if it was consistent?
Could this be a medication side effect? Has anyone else had this issue?
Actually, now that you said that, i had this same side effect but didnt pay too much attention to it, although i take adderal xr, did you just start concerta???
