what was your first week on adderal like? | ADHD Information

I'm about 3 1/2 weeks into taking adderall and after about two weeks of taking them daily, the side effects have worn off. The jitteriness will definitely go away. Or, at least it did for me. I can't say about the clammy stuff. That never happened to me.

Good luck. Side effects will subside most likely to the point where you're only benefiting from the medicine. But, keep in touch with your doc too.

Adderall started working for me with the first dose. The clarity and calming effect on my brain was almost immediate and definately remarkable. Unfortunately, some of that clarity and calm has receeded a bit (maybe time for a dose adjustment?) but still I get plenty of benefit from the med. If you're not noticing a difference yet, I'd definately talk to your dr.

I was "jumpy" at first, but that has subsided. dry mouth, all the other common side effects I seemed also to get but they diminished (except for feeling hungry or tired, which I've not felt since on the med.) It also changes your sexual and sensual side...most of which hasn't been all that bad for me, but definately different. (see other posts regarding this...)

Oh, all right! My first month or so on Adderall I had a significantly diminished sex drive. My sex drive has since increased, but I'd say it is still less than before I started taking the medication. Now, this is not all bad by any means! In fact, it's rather a relief, you see, because while my wife and I are happy and enjoy sex, I've never had enough! Until now. It is a peace I thought I would never experience.

Now, there are other side effects I experience on Adderall that have nothing to do with "sex drive" but have all to do with sensuality, sensitivity, and response during lovemaking.

Oh, and one last thing....now when I make love, my mind has no trouble staying "in the moment" rather than (sometimes, not everytime) roaming, fantasizing, or otherwise mentally straying from the intimate business at hand!

yup. i've noticed that i'm more focused myself and am actually enjoying it more. although, i've never really not enjoyed it with or without meds. Thanks for being so open.....It's a tough subject. I promise I won't ask anymore difficult questions such as that!

hey there. day two here on adderal. i wanted to know if these symptoms im having are just things that ill have while my body adjusts or if there just going to be there always.

here they are: ok lets see, i noticed i was kinda clammy at night, but that may have been from the fact that i had 3 warm dogs in the bed w me hahahha, but my gf wasnt as hot as me, i just felt extra warm i guess you could say. also def jittery almost. and lastly yesterday i took my 1st pill at 7am and the 2nd at 4, around 3-330 i could feel myself starting to come down from it, so today im starting it at 9 and taking the 2nd pill at 330ish. that way there closer together and i hopfully can avoid that sideeffect.

so far no nausua, no vommiting , no insomnia, so thats good. i actually wake up ready to start the day. so yeah any advice would be nice.

also how long before you started noticing a diffence in your life. when the pill started working for you?
