My son had been taking Metadate 20mg for about 8 months, then he started Kindergarten and he was having some rough days, we increased to 30mgs and while the medication was in his system it was AWESOme but after about 5 hours the rebound was HORRIBLE.
On the 20 mgs it just goes out of his system gradually, so we had to go back to the 20. And his behavior got much better. not perfect but much better than that couple of hours at the end of the day with the rebound of the 30s.
Yes ! 30 mgs works very well while is in his system, about 5 hours.
If we do not give him a booster the rebound is HORRIBLE !!!! OFF THE WALLS!!
So far we are only doing 20mgs in the morning. and he is alright, he has his ups and downs.
But in the evenings he DRIVES ME CRAZY !!
that is very interesting- do you notice any behavioral difference from 20 to 30? can you tell that the medication is working? Im thinking that it is just not working- i will discuss this with pysc. when we go next week-
