5 htp

I used to take tryptophan to help me sleep or to treat
migraines. I liked it. I think it's terrible that it's
so hard to get now -- I'd like to have a law passed that
all essential nutrients should be available as a basic
human right or something.

I tried 5htp (I think it was) once. I had a bad migraine.
I took the 5htp (serotonin precursor), plus a form of
vitamin B3 I'd never taken. I threw up. I don't know
whether it was the migraine itself that made me throw
up, or one of the two nutrients I took in an attempt to
treat the migraine. Anyway, I've been afraid to take
either of them again.has anyone ever used 5 htp? what do you think of it?
This is what I am taking right now in addition to 10 mg of Adderall.  I have been taking it for about a month or so. I don't know if I notice a difference or not though. I am also taking:

Omega 3 (for depression, it's definitely working)
Vitamin B Complex - calm anxiety (it's working too)

I have been taking these since about Jan. or Feb. and I am very impressed considering I used to be on the major anti-depressants.

Also started taking a Calcium/Magnesium dose at night. It's supposed to help.

My dr. doesn't have a lot of hopes for the supplements for my ADHD, but he says he is knowledgeable about them and is respecting my lack of interest in any more meds if I can help it.
