The headaches can be from the med, rebound when the med is wearing off (like caffiene withdrawal) or dehydration from the med. What do you think the headache is from? Is you son getting good results from the ritalin? If so, see if you can try a long acting form like concerta that can have a slower time as the med wears off. If the ritalin is not working well and having side effects, trying a different type of med may be a good idea. The more information you provide to the doctor, the better chance of finding the best med for your son and optimizing it to his needs.
