I am from around there, actually west chicago (right next store) But as far as doctors go, I am not sure if I can help. I can say that headaches from our types of meds are terrible, I would much rather put up with not being able to sit through my class paying attention then having to got hrough those headaches again. You may want to try some older meds, I dont really trust the new stuff, they have all failed for me. Good Luck!
I don't know where Bartlett is, but I do live in Illinois. I suggest contacting the social worker at your school and asking for a referral. rubyI would suggest you call the prescribing doctor. Any medication giving a child headaches shoudl be stopped and a different one tried.
Call you pediatrician and ask for recommendations. We use a psychopharmacologist for prescribing medications because that is their specialty. Your son should not be suffereing headaches with all the knowledges, as well as medications that are available today.
Best wishes,
Beth
Really bad headaches (migraines) can over time, affect short term memory. Get to the bottom of that. With the patch, did you think about upping the dosage?
