Woo-Hoo! That's so awesome!!  WTG!! 

 

My son ran off the bus today yelling and screaming that he had some good news to tell me....after waiting 2 years, he was finally voted student of the month at his school!  I have never seen him so happy and proud of himself.  It brought tears to both our eyes!  In kindergarten the teacher told him he would never be student of the month because he was not able to behave...boy has he proven her wrong.  There are days I wonder if I did the right thing by puttiing my son on meds...this only reinforces that I made the right choice.  Just to see him so happy is worth the arguing about eating and the getting out of bed a million times before he falls asleep.

Well thanks for listening to my rambling...I just wanted to share some good news.  Hope everyone else is able to have a good day today too!!

Congratulations to BOTH of you! Your son needs to be commended, even more than ever, because of this accomplishment! You, because of the choices that you made for him to get where he is! Really go overboard with rewarding him so he will never forget this, but forget what that horrible K teacher said, and maybe earn it again!

You must be so proud of him!

 

Bethanne:  Yes, we are going waaaayyy overboard.  He got a hotfudge sundae for snack yesterday, dinner of his choice, and tomorrow night we are taking him out to dinner.  Also, I read his homework to him last night instead of him having to read to me, which is always a chore!
