yay for pdoc | ADHD Information

DS has been in a lot of trouble at school, was just suspended from school.  Pdoc had suggested some programs he thought were offered by the school, they aren't.  I asked.  Pdoc called the vice principal and helped us alot.  DS had to go thru a risk evaluation thing, and pdoc's call will keep the school from harassing me about meds.  I cannot believe he did that.  I am not against meds, but awaiting insurance auth for a test. That is great. It is hard enough trying to get through a thourough diagnosis and deciding on the correct treatment options for you and your child without the school harrassing you. What test are you waiting on insurance for?We are waiting on auth for an rEEG.  It measures brain waves so we know which area of the brain is overactive, so then we can choose meds wisely.  DS has been on 6 or 7 meds, none of which worked at all or had bad side effects.

I hope you can find a med that will work for your son. Hang in there and again, I am glad the doc got the school off your back.

I think he was worried they would push me to use meds, as Cody has to be med free for this test for several (6?) weeks.  He does not understand that no one pushes me away from what I think is right for my child.
