Thanks to you GlenW | ADHD Information

Just wanted to say I took Glen's advice to search out a good therapist to work with.

The Dr is great and specialises in CBT. I was suprised to find myself feeling uncomfortable with some of the realisations I had and that was only the first session.

I think it will be not be all fun and smiles but that's what I've done up to now and havn't gotten anywhere. So I will face the bad and welcome the good that will come from it.

Oh, he he reckon's my OCD behaviour outweighs the ADHD behaviour. He also empathised how difficult life can be when trying to make sense and progress with theses two "disorders" (he doesn't like the word DISORDER)

So we'll see what happens next Wednesday when I go back with my mood diary he's asked me to fill out three times a day.

Thanks again Glen

or count every step in the stair case.. uggh

dont miss those days lol

I can see that Peita posted a while ago, but if its a comfort Peita, 70% of the times I go to my "shrink" I feel worse after the session! But after a day or 2 when I'm finished reflecting on the things/issues he "forced" on me I really feel better

Well I'm glad I did a look-see in the adult section!

You are most welcome!  I knew if you looked you'd find someone you'd be able to connect with and get help from.

OCD is a very powerful disorder - just think of the people who must touch something a number of times or check their front door over and over and you can see where it can be very hard to deal with.

You'll do fine!  Just be totally honest with this person - they will NEVER tell anyone and trust is the essential tool.  You will end up so much happier you won't believe it!

Wow - you made my day!  My week even!!
