I dont really understnad clonidine use? What exactly is it used for?
Concerta is methylphenidate like the mythylin he was on befor and it is a long acting form. Concerta lasts 12 hours or less (not 24). Here is lots of information on it:

My daughter is on 27mg of concerta and is doing well. We were struggling with weight loss (she is so skinny and has no room for loss) and have gotten a handle on this issue now.

Clonidine or guanfacine are sometimes given to augment the stimulant. Clonidine and guanfacine (which my daughter is on) are a blood pressure meds that help with hyperactivity, calming, sleep issues, weight issues ans impulsivity but not with attention:

My five year old is on Concerta now, after weeks of finding the "right Dose" of methylyn. He also has been diagnosed with Aspergers, but not concluded for sure yet. We ar estill in the begining stages with our pediatric neuroligist.
Does anyone have anything to offer to look for and hope for in Concerta 36mg? They say it last 24 hrs ? Is this true? Poor booger is soooooooooo hyper, distracted, and has trouble in any social situation. He appears different right away to anyone. I hope this helps. 20mg of Methylyn made him more calm, but his strange behavior due to the Aspergers seems worse.
