Just wanted to tell everyone about a website i found 4 months ago, they specialise in products for adults and Adhd children, my daughter Mary has been on Ritalin for a year now, and i have been trying to find an effective alternative. She had been using it all the time, but since finding this site and using alternative techniques such as focusing exercises and relaxation. She only uses Ritalin for school now, and only then occassionally. The site is www.thecoa.co.uk a british site, but they ship to the states and apparently are opening a branch here soon. the best thing for me was the fact that they have a team of health experts who devise a supplement regime for you. It was great for us, thought i would share, it may work for you!

Do you have the Junior Omega Caplets?  I am wondering how big they are - I still can't find something that my daughter will take.  They are all huge and the oils are just nasty to her.

Holding her down or forcing her to take something she doesn't want to just complicates our day even more.

Let me know if anyone has any omegas their children will take!

we have coromega-orange flavored.  i bought the box at a vitamin store and i keep it in the refrigerator.  it tastes like an orange fudgesicle and comes in a packet like ketchup.  a pudding like alternative and i know that it came in orange or chocolate at the store i shopped at.

manufactured by the coromega company. good luck!

My son takes Omega Mood.  I was surprised that he could swallow it, but he tells me he sometimes swallows his Mike-and-Ikes candy whole, so this is apparently a skill he's had for a while!  Nordicnaturals.com makes a great and totally pure Omega capsule for Juniors (and one for those younger than 9-13).  I got them from Dr. Weil and have had my granddaughter on them for about 6 weeks now.  They are small and she has no problems taking them.  They are a gel capsule and flavored with a lemony taste.Look at Ogram's marble system thread. It is at the top of the parent's board. It is a positive reinforcement behavior plan that has worked well with my daughter. Continue working with the doctor on the meds.vickie39007.5755324074Can someone help? From the questions I detect that you may be a little unsure of what ADHD realy is....? If so, maybe the first step to help him is to "educate" yourselfs a little bit more. Then get him other meds, eventually a new doc if the one you have doesn't listen to your "info"! Good luck.... Btw, my father was beating the crap out of me "almost every day" as a punishment (it felt like that anyway), at the end I didn't bother crying....., do you really think he cares if you take the toys away??? You'll only make him more bitter and convinced that the "world" is against him! I've lived like that for 40 years....., do you want he same thing for him? Because I can assure you that a life like that is a life without hope! I "found" myself at the age of 40 with the help of meds, don't take that possibility that he may have today away from him. So take the time to understand what he is suffering from! Beneath all that anger and "wildness" theres a little boy that is realy scared and feeling very confused!
