Is your granddaughter on meds for bipolar? I would discuss options with the doctor who is managing the meds. You may also want to look at the thread at the top of this section called Ogram's marble system. It is a positive reinforcement behavior modification plan. I wish you luck on this journey. It can be really tough at times.It seems likely that her behavior is beyond her control and that taking all her belonging will inflame things instead of improve them.  I would get the bi-polar and any other issues under control before doing something extreme like gutting her room. i have a granddaughter that is having bipolar rages,,,,attitudes,,,and thinks she can just yell to high heaven,,,even tho you have asked her to pick up a book of her's or to clean her room,,,,,,room is about to get gutted,,,,nothing but clothes bed pillow and blanket,,,,has to earn it all back,,,,oh GOD this will be hell,,,,she gets aggressive too,,,anyone know of suggestions,,,,,,besides the corner
