Hi, I saw an article in the paper just last week about the latest study.  Here is a link:

Also, if you want to see more info that isn't propaganda, go to the National Institute of Health at nih.gov and search on ADHD.

I am a very over worried Mom!  My son is 11 years old and just recently been diagnosed with inattentive ADD.  I have always sort of suspected it, but never knew for sure.  His biological father knows very little about ADD, however is in a relationship with a woman who is completely anti-meds.  She claims that she has done a lot of research on the over-diagnosis of ADD and prescriptions of stimulant medications.

So, as a concerned Mom, I, of course have done a ton of research myself.  On both the benefits and negative side effects of medicating children.  After doing my research, my decision was to go ahead and give the medication a try.  However, since I am such a worry wort, I can't stop thinking about the constant negativity that I have heard from my ex and his girlfriend.

Can anyone here lead me to some research that's not crackpot allegations against stimulant meds?

(P.S. my son takes adderall xr 5mg twice a day and doing great on it)
