Thank you for the info! The doctor did provide him strategies along with a fluoride rinse he must do nightly. He has only been on Adderall for 2 months, but obviously, stimulants in general are causing him to have dry mouth.

You might als talk to the prescribing doctor about trying a different med that might have less effect on saliva.

My son went to the dentist yesterday for a 6 month check up only to find he has 3 more "soft areas" on his teeth. He has only been on meds for about a year, and ever since then, he has had issues with decay. His dentist said his Adderall is likely the cause as he doesn't drink pop or juice. If we keep on at this rate, all of his teeth (he's almost 8) will be decaying!!!
