Hard headed DH!!!!! | ADHD Information

Yesturday my DH took my children to the psiquiatrist for my DD results and effectively she s ADHD he recomended to start right away on meds but he refused. We already have a 6yo son with ADHD so he thinks it is not right to haveboth our children with this. So he wants to get a second opinion so I will take her to another one on Nov 28. But we are wasting so much time, because my dd is having problems and I feel so bad to see like that.

But it is a reality that we have to deal with it, don't you think?

 

What my DH feels bad to have our two kids with the same problems and does not want to realize that truth you know. But is better to help them our children which are our resposability.

You are right, that is difficult. Because ADHD appears to be genetic, why would your DH be suprized that both kids have it? Does you DH not see your son benefitting from the meds? Does your daughter show the same behaviors or is she more the inattentive form of ADHD? Sometimes if there are not behavior issues, ADHD is harder to see. Good luck.

I think this is the hardest thing for my DH. I was hyperactive as a kid and he is inattentive (or is it a man thing???). He keeps saying that our daughter got all of our worst traits and magnified them.
