i~ forget~. Welcome to the board
it could be to low a dose or strattera is not the right drug for you.
Scotmama was on Ritalin but felt giddy and dizzy and crashed into a tired slumps after the meds wore off. I had to nag her to go and see the doctor again turned out she had a high metabolism so they changed her meds to concerta instead.( Not saying this is your situation just our experience for an example)
Hope things work out!
The second, third and fourth day I was feeling great my mind wasn't racing I wasn't tired at all, I was feeling peaceful. Today I have noticed that my mind is going crazy again and also I am feeling tired.
I am on 40mg and I start taking 60mg in a couple of days, then I go back to the Dr's for a check up on how things are going.
Does anyone know why I my mind went back to racing and feeling tired once again, is this normal?
I~forget~39017.6965277778strattera did that to me when I first started on it. I started on 20mg then 40. then 60, then 80, then 100 (or something like that) every time I uped my dose I felt very zombie like and tired. after I hit the 100mg mark it still took about a month until i really started to notice the difference. I was a changed man!! (for about 4 months) then I started to get immune to it and had to switch to other meds. Currently I am on strattera 40mg for the morning, then I take Concerta 36mg about 2 hours after I took my strattera, then I take another 40mg of Strattera in the evening to help out with the rebound and it helps me focus for school since I am taking night classes. One thing I noticed which made a huge difference is going med free during the weekend. I turn back into my total inatentive procrastinator self but I have to be every once and a while. I just dont want to become immune to the meds I'm on. so yeah thats my story with Strattera. its good but unless you take an evening dose you will get tired....thats the most common thing I hear about it on the messsage board too
