what about after breakfast,you said the pain was last night.
i am asking because i am taking concerta and i experienced stomach pains,then i realised it was because i had not be eating at all for hours and so i started drinking energy drinks and the pain stopped.
another poster realised that her problems was with anxiety.
looking at my prescription,stomach ache is listed under most common side effect.

My son was upped to 36 mgs from 18 mgs...is going back to 18 mgs monday but today took a 36. Took one yest too and last night was complaining of bad tummy ache right around his belly button area, and again today. Is this normal with concerta? He is acting very "off" today. Just doenst feel good at all, sullen, tummy ache and now doesnt want to go to his trunk or treat party where I wokr this evening.

My DD started Concerta yesterday. She has had bad tummy aches and diarrhea since then, starting about an hour after she takes it and lasting well into the afternoon. It definitely seems to be the Concerta causing it.
She had some mild diarrhea and tummy aches from Metadate, but nowhere near this bad.
We're wondering what other options there are that don't have this side effect.
