Does anyone know of a summer camp (1-2 weeks) for ADD or ADHD kids. I have twins, a daughter with ADHD and son with ADD. Both are also gifted and in the top 97-99% acadmically. I have found some camps for LD which includes ADHD, but nothing just for ADHD.
My daughter would really benefit from being around others who have ADHD and learning some coping skills. Both are on medicine and it is not my goal to wean them off, just want them to get to know some other kids with ADHD.
I live in Nebraska, camp in Colorado or Wyoming would be ideal, but would be willing to look at others too.
Sorry, I do not know of any, but would love to sent my 9 year old son to one too. I would love one that helped with socialization.

Unfortunately there is not a lot of things out there for us. I was in a similar position with my daughter who has a Acquired Brain Injury, but has no real obvious problems. Her problems are more hidden.
I was looking for a support group for her, and all there was were Acquired Brain Injury people with obvious physical disabilities and massive impairments.
So I am considering starting one. Perhaps this could be an option for you.
I agree with the socialization aspect, that is really where my daughter needs help and accepting the ADHD and necessity to take medication, she is tired of being "different".where is honesdale, do you have any information?
