My 9 yr old daughter was put on adderall at the begining of September for impulse control issues. While we haven't had the complaints from her teacher we have had in years past I am starting to notice that she loses her temper very quickly and than not 10 minutes later she is calm and apologetic. Her anger is very intense. She will scream, throw things, kick, slam doors, and dig her heels in. While she has never been an angel, this type of anger isn't normal for her. I am worried. Has anyone else experienced this?

My daughter was on adderall last year and had similar problems. We had to take her off as my non violent non angry child attacked my mother in law. (she had been on for 4 months at that point.) She is now unsing the Daytana Patch. We are having great success with it. Im not saying the patch is right for her. But, definitly switch meds...your child should not have these mood altering problems on the right med for her.
