rollercoaster emotions w/ADHD | ADHD Information

My daughter is 14 years old and diagnosed with ADHD 4 months ago.  She is on Adderall 10 mg but we need to up the medication because it is not as effective as it was.  I am seeing the "old" daughter popping back.  She is happy one minute (especially with friends) and so angry the next minute.  We ask her to talk to us but she just give us a look that could kill.  She is mean and angry with her siblings and not very happy around the house.  It is so hard for me to believe that this is all related to ADD.  Could it be a sign of some other problem?  We have considered bipolar but our psychiatrist says no.  I am not sure what his role is in all of this because he just does 15 minute med checks.  I don't know, it may be just the normal teenage stuff going on. I have a 14-year old son who isn't taking any kind of medications and he's doing the same kind of things. The dirty looks, the nastiness to siblings, you describe my son to a T and he's only mildly add and not medicated.  Maybe it's hormonal changes and that's why the Adderall isn't enough anymore for her.

Maybe she's just being a normal, pain-in-the-butt teenager.
