Hope I dont Jinx Myself--
All before meds...in my firebirds (good cars they can take quite a punch!)
1 = a van rear ended me as I was waitind to turn.
1 = I hit a dodge magnum head on because I wasn't paying attention when I pulled out of a driveway and was trying to light a smoke and change a CD while in the wrong lane in the middle of the night.
1= I backed into my employers beautiful brick and beveled mailbox as I was pulling out of the driveway (similar to the above circumstance).
Not too bad for an ADDer!
I am still learning so no crash but i did blow up my hubby's car when he was giving me a lesson.it was dead.
my big problem is road rage and forgetfullness,i also can't do severalthings at the same time.thank god my instructor ,s wife is add.
I've had two thus far. Both were before I was on medication. I was at fault on both counts, though the second was the only one that involved me hitting someone else's vehicle. And of course, both accidents were because I was paying attention to things that were trivial at best. None ! Knock on wood.2 major and a few scrapes
as for the majors it was when i was being really irresponsible according to my psych alot of good sports people like race car dreivers are adhd . the hyper part really helps apparently
i know when i am in the car myself with no distractions i have never had an accident and i drive too fast on my own that i know
Oh, let's see...
3.... i've had three. all before meds. oh, and i should add that i was in HS
2 in 22 years of driving, one with a car on icy road (my fault though), and one with a big truck (not my fault). All before meds...
When I was young, I was fooling around with my station wagon, tires were worn, drving real fast and slid around a corner on a dirt road, and took out a mailbox, and made a nice dent. LOL

I think just two.
I rear-ended someone on the way to taking my girls to their first day of school and my first day back to work. The woman started to go at a light and then just stopped
.
The other one was when I was 21. I was driving an all-nighter on the interstate with my fiance' when at about 4am I woke up at the wheel while doing a complete spin in the middle of the interstate. My fiancé hafiancéd been sleeping and woke up in the middle of the spin and just laid back down!
...then we went off the side of the rode to the right and landed in a ditch. (I laugh because we didn't get hurt at all). I just got a Poison Ivy break-out b/c I was driving bare-footed and walked on it after I got out of the car.
This was actually what lead me to investigate ADHD. I had read that a lot of individuals with ADHD have problems with the law, rebellion, and driving.
I have had 4 speeding tickets, 2 accidents, my license suspended twice, and I was 2 minute away from going to jail for forgetting to pay a fine. (thank you DAD!!) I am not proud of this things. Just answering the question. = ]

I am proud to say I have no had any accidents or tickets in over two years now!!

That was pretty sad and pathetic. But we are much wiser now that you have shared something so stupid with us. Thanks a bunch! *Megs*
Sounds a lot like me. I got my first ticket on a Monday and my second on the Friday of that same week. HA! Mine took place within a year period.
To Worldisround:
I agree with you half way. But in my case, I am female, and have the WORST road rage EVER. lol its nuts.

I double what you said.
A few for me, many close calls with my adhd friends..
I rolled my truck into a ditch 2 weeks after I got my license..that taught me to wear my seatbelt...even if it is 2 blocks away..
Ive been rear ended twice..of course I was the one spacing out and then realized everybody else had stopped in front of me..but then the idiots behind me couldnt stop fast enough..
I spun my car around showing off in high school and hit an audi..but i got lucky cause I knew the guy
Then theres the accidents with my friends:
the worst would be coming down stevens pass with chains required at 55mph (with no chains) and losing control and hitting a subaru head on.
Fell off a cliff once trying to rally a mercury sable
Almost had a high speed head on (90mph+) because we were trying to pass one too many cars...luckly we made it 3 cars wide on a two lane hwy (hwy 2 is considered the deadliest highway in america)
Then theirs the idiocy of the things we do...jump stuff, break stuff, blow up stuff..in cars. its a long list but I am pretty positive most of my friends have adhd. I am ADD. but yeah thats all I really feel like writing about...even though I am leaving out the wreckless driving tickets and the stuff that involves handcuffs but I'll leave that for another day. Until then. bye bye
#1 - HS: car turned into my back passenger side door while 1 was passing him at an intersection
#2 - HS: ran my dad's SUV into the side pilon in a under building garage, not once, not twice, but read it... 3 times... all in the same spot.
#3 - College: totally spaced out and made a left turn after the turn signal have been taken down and hit a car in the back drivers side tail light...
#4 - Totalled my Kia when I was in stop-and-go construction traffic when i leaned down to get my sun glasses and change the radio station.
#5 - was backing up at a gas station from a broken pump and glanced too quickly while listening to music to see the car that came in behind me and back right on top of his bumper.
Thankfully, 3 out of 5 of those were considerably minor... but close calls are way too many to count. Trying to read a piece of mail or do my make-up while int he car has made for alot of "braked in jsut the nick of time" incidents...
BTW... all of these were before I was diagnosed and got on meds for my ADHD. And, all of them happened within only 8 years of driving...
Thankfully, I am ALOT more attentive now.
