Does anyone have any knowledge in this area? In that I mean someone being prescribed both ritalin and a benzo such as valium at the same time. I'm talking about long term use of valium not just for a short time and stop.
I'm currenty on methadone, my doctor has said he's happy to prescribe ritalin as well. He's not sure about adding a benzo. However thinks in my case it might be appropriate. Does anyone out there receive both methylphenidate and a benzo?? Or have any knowledge in this area? I should add, that at the moment I'm being prescribed methadone and valium. The original plan was to detox off the valium and then start the Ritalin, but now the dr is seeking another opinion about the matter and it is possible that Ritalin will just be added to the presciption as well. The Dr said it is unknown territory so to speak and that he'd never heard of it. It is something I'd certainly not expected but I believe it would be right for me... So any one got any input on this one?
