Congratulations!! Very funny, I totally relate about the number on caller ID!!! My heart jumps right up in my mouth, and I'm active in PTO so I get calls about that! Good Job love the notes of incouragement that children are doing good in class.....hope every day goes as good.....I don't have caller Id so I don't know who is calling maybe it would help if I put batterys in my phone heaheheheheThat's great!!! I too get nervous when the school phone # shows up on caller ID. But it's always great to hear such positive news
I just had a call from M's 4K teacher - boy does my heart stop when I see that number on the caller ID.
She said that he is doing so well. Almost all of the negative behaviors she saw at the beginning of the year are gone - occasional issues, but all kids have those. She said he is participating in group activities, and is very interested in getting positive marks (indicated by "thumbs up" on his behavior chart).
She had someone (early childhood person, I believe) come in and observe him this week, and the person couldn't believe it was the same child she heard about at the beginning of the year.
We have his IEP meeting on Wednesday, and she said she feels that they will conclude that he does not qualify for special services because he is functioning so well within the classroom with the meds.
Hopefully this will continue, and is not just the high from us increasing his meds to 10mg two days ago. We seem to see two extremely positive days, and then a downturn starting on day 3.
if my memory serves me correct, your child is on focalin, right? that is such good news...ENJOY!!!!!!

Alright! Glad to hear it. You might want to see if the school will still put an IEP in place (to formalize the behavior plan) for future times when the meds are not on board or not working. Woo-Hoo! Celebrate that good news!!
Boy can I relate to the heart stopping when you see the # on the caller ID!!!
I am just now starting to relax a little....and I haven't had a 'bad' call for the whole school year so far....
I hope this good trend holds for you!
