Singulair chewables contain RED DYE. That is what made my dd aggressive, and it is probably what is affecting your child. My 6 yo DS has been talking singular for about 2 years and also takes ritalin la 10 mg I have never noticed any aggresive reacton. Before he started ritalin he was aggresive but not anymore. He's not on any other meds (aside from some omega supplements and a pro-biotic).  I guess those could be interacting I don't know.

I posted yesterday about the bad day my 5 yr old had.  I have been giving him Singulair for the past couple of weeks as this is an allergy time for him.  I remembered that when I gave it to him last year, he seemed to be a little more irritable and aggressive.  But when he had such an aggressive day at school yesterday I started doing some research about Singulair and aggressiveness.  A lot of parents posted that it made their child moody, irritable and aggressive.  Has anyone else noticed this?  His last dose was the day before yesterday and I won't be refilling his prescription.  I just wanted to see if anyone else had experienced these problems with Singulair.

gdaymom........the agressive behavior may be an allergic reaction to one of the ingredients in Singulair. Speak with your doctor and also your pharmacist.

My older son (Non ADD) has taken singulair for asthma for years, and he really doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body...BUT he is not taking any other meds except the asthma medication Flovent (inhaler).  Maybe the singulair is somehow interacting with his other meds?
