Were never turning back !! | ADHD Information

i have 3 kids, the 2 boys both have ADHD and one of them has ODD.

We started brain gym last week, it has been fantasitc. My eldest son (the one with  odd as well) never does anything in front of anyone, and the day after he got his exercises, he took a photo copy of his exercises to school and showed his teacher, he then got up in front of the class on top of a table and showed everyone how to do the exercises and then got the class to do it with him. Im so proud of him.

But this isnt the only advantage, since we have started brain gym, i havent had to yell at the kids that much, ( i also use the marble system as well) and since starting brain gym i find im giving more marbles than taking them away. we went to the speedway today (my partner races) and this was the first almost completly stress free day ive ever had at the speedway. I always take my own food as the kids cant have a lot of preservatives, so i only had to growl after nanny let them get food from the canteen. my house is so much quieter.

The other thing we found out which is very interesting. We found that my son is what they call a 'true right brained child' which explains why he is like he is and why he still cant read yet and he is nearly 8. what they know about these kids is that they view the world in a completly different way, and they learn in a completly different way. they learn visually, so to tell them things its like it goes in one ear and out the next, but if u show it visually they pick it up straight away.

I have done a lot of reaserch on these kids, and i thought it would be of great interest to everyone here, as they have discovered that nearly every child with ADHD and ADD is prodominantly a right brained person. when you learn about these kids you learn to understand why they do what they do, and how you can help them.

this has been the biggest eye opener for me as for the first time in my son life a finally understand him.  i can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel, it still might be a way off, but at least i can see it now.
