My 6yo DS is getting hospitalised for chronic constipation overnight tomorrow. I am going to stay with him and my DH and 8yo DS are staying at home. My DH is diabetic so I worry about him alone at nights, he can go low. But my 8yo has told me not to worry, he will "look after daddy". To tell you the truth it does help to hear that! I've promised them marbles for being good during this time (both of them). Off the subject of ADHD, little one's syndrome makes him very very low toned and his stomach wall is not strong enough to process things like ours would. So after this we are going on a home program and I am keeping him home from school until Jan to get this sorted out.
While we were at the ped for the little one I discussed ADHD with the doc. I love my doc actually. He told me to reschedule a double appointment in three weeks, gave me two forms, one for me and one for the teacher to fill out independently, and also needs a report from an OT and an edu psych, both of which I can get. He has stated he needs all this to make absolutely sure he can make an accurate diagnosis. I feel so comfortable in his hands and feel sure we're going to make progress.
