my 11 year old son's pediatrician started him on adderall xr 10mg. he tolerated it well with no side effects for 6 weeks, then his psychiatrist increased the dose to 15mg. After only 12 days at the increased dose he developed very noticeable motor tics. We stopped all medication but the tics are as bad as ever. (the poor kid looks like a walking epileptic) when will these tics start to subside or stop completely. he had no signs of tics before starting adderall.Stimulant meds can cause tics.I know stimulants can cause/exacerbate tics, but when will they stop. There was no sign of tics before he started the meds
