Concerta | ADHD Information

I have seen where parents give a lower dose on weekends. Also, the majority of kids in the clinical trials for concerta did best on 36 and 54mg per day, so your dose in not unusual. There is a maximun limit of 2mg/kg if body weight. Of course, discuss this issue with the doctor.

My son have been on Concerta for 1 year, the effect is not very good, but better than nothing, I mean he is calmer, he can be sit on his chair and listen much better but his attention is still a big problem.

We also tried Ritalin with big rebound effets and Strattera but without success. I noticed Concerta seems good for a month and after that we need to increase dosage. He is on 27 mg, I will probably ask to increase him to 36mg, but I would like to know if it is possible to give him 36mg school days and 18mg during the week end, just to help him(and us)!!!!hoping his body will not accustom and we won't have to increase after a month.
