7th. grade ADD crises | ADHD Information

my son is 13 years old, he has OCD and is on Prozac 10mg./day. He is in 7th. grade and since the start of the year he has declined in school and is failing 3 classes. he used to be a straight A kid and now he has 2 E's and 1 D. We are very worried as he seems to have lost total interest and have gone into a state of 'hibernation'. He dosent turn in his homework even though its done. We have read a bunch of books and www about NLD and ADD...... could this be it? or?
we need help before he loses it totally.......
I really feel for your family. It sounds like you have a lot to sort out. I would get a thourough evaluationt by a neuropsych or developemental team. It could be that the med is not having the proper affect, or the stress of the 7th grade is causing problems (a stressed brain does not function well), puberty causing problems, adhd (inattentive form), or any number of problems. With a good diagnosis, you can get the best direction for treatment.
