wow i used to  take  wellbutrin and  ativan for  depression and  i am possible  add but undiagnosed ..how can i see if  i really and  add my son is  adhd andso  is my step son age  14 and  4 husband  dislexic...it can run in the  family  ?Just wanted to let you know that my dd14 has been on Wellbutrin SR for about 4 years now with the ADHD combined (primarily inattentive) and low level depression dx.   It worked wondefully and the only side effect was a slight headache for the first day or two.  I hope you find as much benefit from it!

I just had my tests done in October too and that is exactly what my tests revealed... low level depression, anxiety disorder and ADHD combined type.  My new psychiatrist prescribed Wellbutrin.  Today is the first day I have taken it, so I don't know what to expect yet.

Why have either of them not put you on ADD medications?  Those are targeted to help more with the ADD.

Anti-depressants did nothing but make my ADD worse.

Hi,
Prozac may help with the depression and anxiety. It will not, however boost your ADD.
Wellbutrin can have anti ADD properties, however it has to be higher dose, and it is less likely to work than one of the ADHD medicines - be it stimulant or non stimulant.

You may want to consider Strattera - it works on ADD and also tends to help anxiety and depression. Just a thought.

I've been taking Wellbutrin for about 10 years.  After seeing a psychologist for ADD symptoms, I was tested for attentiveness on a computer performance test as well as take the MMPI.  Tests show significant attention problems consistent with ADD as well as depression and anxiety.  Psychologist says lets wait for test results of annual physical to make sure there isn't another problem going on.  He also said he is inclined to recommend increasing my Wellbutrin to address my symptoms.

Family doctor heard my symptoms and ordered bloodwork and then prescribed fluoxetine (prozac).  He said he thinks that change alone should help me to feel better.

Anyone done this and can report positive effects?  I'm concerned Prozac will interfere with my libido.
