teacher conference | ADHD Information
We had our conference with DS special Ed, teacher today, he was moved in her class the end of October, this was after an IEP meeting.. He has adjusted well, and his adhd behavior in her class seems to be controllable, he is still a bit busy, but, more like he multi tasks.. plays with something, but does listen to her.. This is fine with us.. He also is liking school again. Which was a huge concern in October as he no longer wanted to go. We feel very lucky as she is well educated on add and adhd. It is such a great relief for once to get some postive information from the school... So for everyone out.. pursue IEP's if you think your adhder needs it.. and you can't care what other people will say about what class your child is in... thanks to all on this board...
I am glad you have found a learning environment that helps your son. This can make a huge positive difference.
My daughter is pulled out for spelling tests because the whole class gives each other personalized tests and it is very noisy. This accomodation is given to my daughter and 4 other ADHD kids from 2 5th grade classes.
Congratulations to both your son and you!
Enjoy your holiday!
