Good news is, they grow up!

I have 4 kids, all add, adD, aDd, Add, aDD, AdD, ADd, ADD, adhd, aDhd, adHd, adhD, Adhd, ADhd, AdHd, AdhD, ADHd, AdHD, or ADHD (did I miss any?) or some variation or combination thereof.

And they grow up, leave home, get married, and beget little ADHders of their own!

So hang in there, I've got two gone, two to go.

Great to hear!!! I've just been at a party where I found out that a boy I taught 15 years ago is a successful theatre manager and is about to get married to a editor.  He was so out of it - he work was extremely poor and he had little attention!!!  He has made it through to the other side.  We just have to keep all of this in mind! Posts like yours help!Any thoughts about what education styles suit ADHDers the best?

Thanks David. Posts like yours really help parents like me who have young children. I have a 3yr old who was diagnosed with adhd a few weeks ago. I am still not convinced he has adhd, so we are going to get a second opinion in Dec and a third if we need one. I just don't want to put a small child on meds that he may not need. Anyway, you have given me hope that my baby will be ok. Thanks so much."Any thoughts about what education styles suit ADHDers the best? "
I am reading Right Brained Children in a Left Breained World.  Very interesting!! I was amazed that my son could spell epicenter backward with out a pause!!!

I am reading Right Brained Children too.  That book is amazing.  It has already helped me enormously, just in terms of better understanding how/why my daughter thinks.  It's really informative.
