Today went great with Z. came home from school in a pleasant talkative mood. Went to grocery store with me -no complaining, behaved in store. told him repeatedly how well he was behaving and what a good mood he was in. got him a treat. he came home did his homework no problem and then I was letting he and his brother play a game on game cube. Well, they forgot to finish something on their hw, so had to call them back. Gave warning that they were going to have to end game and waited a bit then made them pause it. His brother went right to do his work, I went to sit with the 2 of them to help. Well he went right into defiant, grumpy mode!!.. Finally, got tired of the horrible attitude and the not even trying to "get it" and sent him to time out. Used to use my bed as time out but it ends up being a hang out. so moved to the corner. Well he thought that was funny and kept laughing through warnings until I sent him to bed were he proceeded to clap loudly and sing "jimmy cracked corn", and repeatedly getting up. He can be such a great boy!!! It is so disheartening to see him fall from grace :( and get into trouble. The thing that makes me nuts the most is the uncontrollable giggling!!!
